PENGARUH POLA ASUH ORANG TUA TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN BAHASA ANAK
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of parenting patterns on the development of early childhood language. Language is an important aspect in child development because it functions as a means of communication and the basis for the formation of cognitive abilities. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study. Data were collected through observation, interviews using 4 informants (parents) and 4 children as research subjects. The results of the study indicate that parenting patterns, both authoritarian, democratic and neglect have different effects on children's language development. Democratic parenting is more supportive of children's language development because it provides space for children to express and express their feelings. Conversely, authoritarian and neglectful parenting patterns tend to limit or less optimally direct language stimulation. Thus, it can be concluded that parenting patterns have a significant role in supporting or inhibiting children's language development.
