Abstract

One of the problems faced by our world of education is the low quality of education, both in terms of the ongoing educational process and the educational products themselves. From the educational process, especially learning, most of our teachers are more likely to instill subject matter that is based on one low-level cognitive aspect such as remembering, memorizing and accumulating information. The low quality of these educational products is an illustration of the quality of the process of implementing the education system which is related to many elements, but the teaching and learning process is the heart of education that must be taken into account because it is in these learning activities that the transformation of various educational concepts, values and materials is integrated.

To overcome the problems experienced by teachers is to carry out clinical supervision. Clinical supervision is a form of professional assistance that is given systematically to teachers/prospective teachers based on their needs with the aim of developing their teaching skills. Clinical supervision can also be said to be supervision that is focused on improving learning through a systematic cycle starting from the stages of planning, observing, and intensive analysis of learning performances with the aim of improving the learning process. The implementation of clinical supervision has good benefits, besides being able to increase professionalism it can also improve the research abilities of supervisors and teachers.
