Abstract

The Independent Curriculum with the Akidah Akhlak learning approach plays an important role in facing the challenges of today's Modern Era. The modern era is characterized by rapid technological advances, globalization and rapid social change. In this context, it is important to develop a relevant and adaptive curriculum approach to form a young generation with character and ethics.

Implementation of the Independent Curriculum with a focus on learning the Akhlak Aqidah is the key in facing this challenge. The Merdeka Curriculum encourages students' independence in learning by giving them the freedom to choose learning paths that suit their interests, talents and goals. Learning Aqidah Akhlak is an integral component in this curriculum, which aims to form good attitudes and behavior, as well as strengthen religious and moral values. In the complex challenges of the Modern Era, learning Akidah Akhlak helps students to develop a deeper understanding of ethics, social responsibility, empathy and tolerance. They are taught to be individuals who are responsible, have integrity, and are able to interact with people of various cultures and religions. This learning also promotes an understanding of the importance of gender equality, environmental protection, and the rejection of all forms of discrimination.
