Abstract

The country of Indonesia is a plural country that has various ethnicities, races and religions, with this many differences requiring an attitude of tolerance in understanding all the differences that exist. Included in educational institutions, of course, the culture of its citizens is also diverse. Therefore, an attitude of moderation in religion really needs to be applied in the life of the nation and state, especially in educational institutions and multicultural societies. As a middle way, moderation in religion can face all differences, both from extreme and fundamental groups. In the application of religious moderation in this multicultural society, what needs to be done is; create educational institutions as a laboratory basis for religious moderation and then carry out various approaches to inculcate this attitude of religious moderation.
