Abstract

In a dynamic educational landscape, developing students' cognitive abilities, especially critical thinking abilities, is very important so that they can navigate well the various challenges that exist in both the personal and social realms. Critical thinking, characterized by reflective thought processes and reasoned decision making, is a foundational skill that empowers individuals to address problems with analytical acumen and prowess. The method used in this research is literature study. The literature study method is carried out to identify, evaluate and interpret all previous results regarding a particular study question, subject or concern. The data used is secondary data, because the data obtained is obtained from research that has been carried out previously. The results of the CTL Approach research are very supportive of developing critical thinking skills in the learning process. Because seen from the characteristics of the CTL approach, it is very effective to use during learning, so that students can obtain information not only from one source, but a lot of information from various sources that students can use to learn.
