PERAN PEREMPUAN DALAM KELUARGA MENURUT HUKUM KELUARGA ISLAM

Abstract

The development of globalization era has an impact on household life which sometimes leads to increase the needs. As a result, if only the husband (father) works in the family, the family economic conditions will be unstable. A married woman, of course, has different duties and obligations than unmarried women. In household life, a housewife has a very important role to play in determining how the next generation is developed. If this is faced with the current economic conditions, it certainly requires a housewife in her capacity as a wife to help her husband to meet her household needs, and a wife who works outside the home as a seller must be willing to carry two titles, namely as a housewife and as a seller. As the case in Tejo Agung market environment, which often found housewive as sellers there, almost of them faced the double burden. By this problem, the author is very interested in doing research more deeply about the role of housewife in the family according to Islamic family law (Study of Housewive Sellers In Tejo Agung Market, Metro Timur Subdistrict, Metro City), can they carry out their duties as a wife and mother while becoming a seller. As the main problem in this study is what are the factors that encourage the wife as a seller at the Tejo Agung market in the city of Metro and how the impact is caused.

The conclusions generated in this study are; the first factor that caused housewive to work as sellers at Tejo Agung Market are internal and external factors.The internal factors, namely economic and gender equality factors in which housewive sellers in Tejo Agung Market of Metro City trade something because they want to help their husbands and can have their own income. While the external factors, namely socio-cultural factors in which housewive sellers in Tejo Agung Market of Metro City are motivated to trade because of the large number of traders from their domiciles. The second is the Islamic view of the factors that affect housewive trading in Tejo Agung Market. Basically, Islam does not prohibit housewive from playing a role in both the domestic and public spheres. The role of housewive who are obliged in the domestic sphere is as wive of husband and mothers for their children. Whereas as a member of the community in muamalah affairs in the public sphere punished with emergency Rukhshah. This means that even though it is permissible, housewives must still follow the existing Islamic rules. If there is more harm to the family then the profession outside the home must be abandoned compared something emergency must not leave things that are must.
